Our Paramedical Team

Every year a team of health professionals travels to Nicaragua to assess children’s needs, and provide and adjust adapted equipment to the children selected in the previous year. Our team is comprised for the moment of occupational therapists. At least one Pivot International staff member accompanies the paramedical team to ensure adhesion to the organization’s mission.

Pivot International is continuously looking for new health professionals to join our Paramedical Team as a volunteer. If you are interested, here is what you should know:

What We Need From You:

  • Your CV with a cover letter explaining why you are interested in our projects and how you can help.
  • Your availabilities during the year (must be available for at least 10 consecutive days).

If You Are Selected:

  • Attend monthly meetings with the other members of your team in the months leading up to your departure.
  • Be responsible for obtaining a passport and the necessary vaccinations.
What You Get From Us:

  • We take care of the organization and cost of accommodation, which includes stays at Casa Pueblito (dormitories only) and stays in families’ houses (food included).
  • We take care of the organization and cost of transportation (within the country) necessary for your work.
  • We take care of finding funding for the equipment you have requested.
  • We take care of transporting the equipment to each child.
  • We provide you with an excellent professional experience to add to your portfolio.
